Connectors

The general principle of USB is:

  • The twisted-pair cable sends the data;
  • The second type of wire powers the power to the device from which the information passed.

ConnectorsThe USB 3.0 standard appeared in 2008 and used in many devices. The data transfer rate has increased from 480 Mbit/s to 5 Gbit/s. In addition to data speed, USB 3.0 differs from the 2.0 version in power. Unlike the earlier version, which delivered 500 mA, USB 3.0 can deliver up to 4.5 watts (5V, 900 mA).

The new generation USB

It is backward compatible with an older release. That is, USB 3.0 can also work with USB 2.0 and even 1.1. But in this case, there will be speed limitations. If you connect a USB 3.0 to a USB 2.0 device; when you will get 480 Mbps or less, which is the standard for the 2.0 version.

Conversely, a 2.0 cable will not get more speed if you plug it into a USB 3.0 device. It is due to the number of wires used in a particular technology. The USB 2.0 version has only four wires, whereas USB 3.0 has 8. If you want to get the transfer speeds claimed by the USB 3.0 standard, both devices and cable must be the 3.0 version.

One of some connectors

A coaxial connector is an output from a television receiver to connect an antenna. It is a device that provides a quality high-frequency TV signal from the antenna to the TV set.

The primary purpose of coaxial devices is to provide a connection between different kinds of equipment. This connection has two types of paired components: socket-plug and pin-socket. Each cable correlates to coaxial outputs of various types.

According to the functional purpose distinguished these types of connectors:

  • Cable;
  • Instrumental;
  • Instrument-cable.

Exchange the material of cables

Because copper long coaxial cables are expensive, they replace by their optical counterparts often. The production becomes cheaper due to the partial replacement of copper components. The basis makes of steel, partially includes clad copper, and on top is braided with steel and aluminium wires. Antennas for digital devices today are small and inexpensive. They are also easy to integrate.

According to the method of assembly, three groups of cable connectors are distinguished:

  • Twisted;
  • Crimp;
  • Compression.

Modern televisions have some connectors that differ in purpose to provide a variety of television signal sources. A variety of connectors is necessary to increase compatibility across generations and manufacturers.
